I've said this before, Trump's attempt to steer the Court in a hard Right direction will lead to Chief Justice Roberts moving to the middle, if for no other reason that to protect the historical reputation of the "Roberts Court".

Roberts is the new Kennedy?

BREAKING: Chief Justice Roberts sides with liberals as Supreme Court blocks stringent Louisiana abortion law
The Supreme Court, in a 5-to-4 ruling on Thursday night, blocked Louisiana from enforcing a law that abortion rights groups said would have left the state with just one doctor legally allowed to perform the procedure.

Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the court’s four liberals to grant a stay that stalls the abortion restrictions. The court said the restrictions must remain on hold while challengers appeal a lower court decision in favor of the law.
