Here's MY theorem: That the majority of liberals are short-term thinkers and intellectually lazy. They see a problem (murders) and want a quick and simple answer (get rid of guns). They see a problem (pregnancy) and want a quick and simple answer (get rid of the baby.)

Liberals don't deal well with matters that are complex. Is it even possible to get rid of guns? Would getting rid of guns end the violence? Is there a positive aspect to guns that would be eliminated if guns were banned? If so, how does it stack up against the annual gun-victim count? Are babies people who have as much right to life as we do?

These questions are DIFFICULT, and most liberals don't deal well with difficult. They only like easy.

That's why I sometimes call liberals stupid... but I'm wrong. They aren't stupid. They're as smart as conservatives. What they are is intellectually lazy. We see that right here on Atomic Bobs, where the Democrats run away to their private little hidey-holes, Pffft3 and ALEA, when they're challenged on issues or asked about mistakes in their reasoning. They don't tend to do their homework on complex matters, and problems that have no simple solution are not their thing. Since their thoughts do not withstand critical analysis, they find it best to just run away.

I'm not falling for that gambit. I know very well that
the gun itself is not the problem. The clown misusing
the tool is.

But you miss my point.

The folk who would preserve life - no abortions - are
in favor of an armed citizenry.

While the ones who want abortion legal past the point
of infanticide would take away the Peoples arms.

Or is my theorem implausible?
