You need these sorts of tools of opprobrium for people who engage in a pattern of serious bad acting, and for whom it is happening now, not long ago.

I can think of various people for whom that is true.

But enough with puritan liberallism.

Damn it, people are over-sensitive.

Stop giving ammunition to the offence-nazis.

We need scope for people to have fun, be insensitive, not be shamed in front of the whole world.

We want broad conversations, not hysteria over trivialities from long ago. Yes, trivialities.

If you cannot stand to see a young man dressing in something silly, then maybe live life in a cocoon. Or look at a photo of bunnies. Or something.

There are actual bad things in the world to worry about without jumping on the "ooh" wagon. So what if it is deemed bad taste nowadays. It didn't break any laws at the time.

It is so much better to live in a society in which people who take offence at things like this are treated as marginal fusspots than one in which they hold power.

This is where Dems go so wrong.
