Wisconsin voters strongly support nonpartisan redistricting for legislative and congressional district boundaries, a poll released Thursday found.
An overwhelming 72% of those polled say they support legislative and congressional district boundaries being drawn by a nonpartisan commission rather than the state Legislature. That's compared to just 18% who said the Legislature should continue to draw the boundaries.
The poll also found that most voters disapproved of the controversial GOP lame-duck session held late last year, and more than 40% of voters have a favorable opinion of new Gov. Tony Evers.
