Also Putin wants the US to break its system of treaties and alliances.

So Trump is trying to damage all of those too, all the way up to NATO.

Trump's policies are Putin's policies. It's blindingly obvious he is a Russian asset.

I assumed he was on the phone to his boss, Putin, frequently.

My impression is that Trump has been part of Putin's money laundering team for years. They launder Russian oil money via offshore banks into US property and international golf courses.

This is Putin's mafia operation. Trump's destruction of evidence is an extension of the mafia omerta.

I don't see him as vulnerable so much as he is a part of the criminal enterprise. This isn't a risk of damage. It's actual damage done by Putin's US team. He has taken over several Eastern European countries. Now he is taking hold of the US as well.

The battle is with the institutions. First the courts. Now the House.
