"Since nearly every leftist belief is hinged directly or indirectly upon the idea that it is okay to forcefully take that which somebody else has earned so long as it is used in society's "interest," it is a mistake to think of them as anything but thieves. I think that's pretty evil - maybe not on the Adolf Hitler level, but at least on a par with your average carjacker or convenience store robber.

Re: "They are just confused and completely unreachable."A pretty good number of liberals are short sighted people who made bad decisions when they were young including never developing a marketable skill and living it up whenever they had money instead of setting it aside for future needs. Prime examples include friends of mine from high school who graduated and, instead of going to college or learning a trade, took union jobs that paid well for a youth but had little in the way of advancement opportunities. I was envious of them for a while - because just as they'd gone for the fast money they also went for fast purchases: Speed boats, sports cars, rented furniture, which definitely impressed the same girls I wished I was impressing.

Needless to say, those former buddies all became bitter Democrats. Most are now looking at working until they're in their 70s and are wondering how they'll get by after that. Well, it was their decision to go this route, and it would be EXTREMELY unfair if government now came to those who were more prudent or industrious and mandated that they provide additional support.

But that's exactly where the nation is aimed, isn't it? The number of people dropping out of the workforce will be growing by leaps and bounds for the next twenty years, and a lot of them lack the resources they'll need. So they'll get government to provide it for them, right? I think that's obvious. But if encouraging the government to steal doesn't constitute evil, then I don't know what does.

I actually feel sorry for them.

Delusion, bitterness, arrogance, intolerance and self-righteous indignation. It is actually just a pathetic echo chamber of leftist blather and hatred impacting no one; changing no one's mind. They are completely besieged by TDS.

I don't think they are evil however. They are just confused and completely unreachable. Actually a pretty accurate reflection of the left and today's Democratic party.
