I was given a prescription for pain pills but I'm not going to have it filled. I might take a couple Tylenol but that's about it. Same thing after I had my Gall Bladder removed earlier this year. The doctor insisted that I get the pain medicine prescription filled because the pain was going to be pretty bad. I filled it and then never took a single pill.
I'm not saying I have a high pain tolerance, just that things never seem to be as bad as my doctors keep telling me. I really believe that a large part of the country's current opioid crisis can be laid directly at the feet of the medical profession.
