Amid record-high levels of voter enthusiasm, 50 percent of likely voters nationwide say they prefer a Democratic Congress while 43 percent say they would like to see Republicans in charge as a result of Tuesday’s midterm elections. That Democratic edge is down slightly from nine points in October’s poll. President Donald Trump’s job approval rating stands at 46 percent two days before the vote.
