Mueller ‘Ready to Announce if Trump Colluded With Russia’
Special counsel Robert Mueller is “ready to deliver the key findings” of his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to Bloomberg News.
Two unnamed U.S. officials said Mueller will divulge what he’s found shortly after the November midterm elections as he faces growing pressure to produce more indictments or shut down his investigation.
The announcements will reportedly focus on the two key planks of the investigation: whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, and whether Trump himself took any actions that constitute obstruction of justice.
However, Mueller’s findings won’t necessarily be made public if he doesn’t secure unsealed indictments. He can present his findings only to his boss, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
