And Kavanaugh is exactly the kind of person I don't want on my team.
There are lots of people making false accusations for money, or making doubtful allegations about ex-partners for whom they bear a particular animus. The law in some states makes defence against these things very hard and certainly unaffordable for many.
Remember Jim Carrey's case as the exception where someone could afford to defend themselves and was willing to do so. And the greedy and dishonest entrapment he was ensnared by.
But Kavanaugh looks like a stubborn liar to me. He makes scepticism about MeToo seem like casual sexism.
