Men do respond to sexual stimuli.

But few men will assault a girl sexually when sober.

Alcohol probably increases the number, as men drink in part to lose their inhibitions.

A large number of women who dress sexily do so to encourage male attention. If they do so when men are drinking, it increases the risk of sexual assault.

So I don't think the Catholics are wrong to advise that dressing in a sexy way is playing with fire. But men who drink and become nasty ought not to drink around women.

Don't forget that humans are animals and not virtue machines. And teens often don't know how to manage their sexual feelings. You have to work with who we are.

I guess I was lucky in that I had a relationship around the time of the potential rockiest period of my teen years.

'Catholicism' can distort sexuality.

I went to parochial school for many years. Before summer in 6th grade sister lectured the girls, telling us WE would be responsible for boys sins if we wore sleeveless blouses & they might 'see' something... Very twisted.
