I don't think he remembers the incident, but fears it happened.
The difference between the witnesses in terms of candor and truthfulness was striking. He was endlessly evasive and kept repeating the same defensive lines over and over.
He also revealed the political partisanship he tried to conceal in the original hearings. His answers were designed to impress the Trump rump, and not to answer the questions put to him or to be consistent.
In my view, he's twenty years of life experience away from being ready for the Supreme Court. He needs to inhabit the world that many others do if he is to make wise judgements about folks' lives.
