Romans 8:8-11
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
WHat does this mean???? IF you are "in the flesh" means that you have never accepted Christ and been changed inside by the HOly Spirit of God! Paul says in another passage in Romans that those who have not the Spirit of GOD dwelling within them are at WAR internally with God because they cannot see or be subject to Godly things.
You are naturally at odds with a Holy and righteous God. When one surrenders their will and life to Christ, the Spirit of God transforms you into one who now rejoices in Spiritual things and the presence of GOD indwells you. You have constant non stop fellowship with your creator and are made "alive" or as the Bible says "quickened" to be able to enjoy that close relationship with a divine and loving God.. God can have no fellowship with SIN. He cannot even look upon it and it will not enter into heaven. That is why every one of use born must be spiritually Born Again! Our Spirit, which is eternal, must be transformed and renewed to be like HIM and and thus we can fellowship with HIM and LOVE Him. The "natural " man cannot do that because he is spiritually dead... Unless that changes, that person will spend eternity away from the presence of GOD in Hell and then the Lake of Fire which was prepared for the originators of sin, Satan and his angelic followers... They lost that fight with God and are doomed for eternity. God prepared Hell for them because HE cannot tolerate sin in HIS presence. YOU have a choice.
You can accept HIS SON and HIS forgiveness for your sins, Jesus Christ, and trust HIM as your only hope of salvation, or you can remain just as you are and join Satan and his fallen angels in hell for eternity.
That is the choice. Why not enjoy the LOVE of GOD and Jesus Christ for eternity? Just ask JESUS to forgive you and to save you and come into your heart. Take HIM as your savior today...
