I don't think he can do it now. Even Congress couldn't allow that to happen and not respond.

We're on the down-slope now. The end is inevitable. I think the GoP will cut its losses and try to get whatever they can from a Mike Pence presidency.

But they will try to do it in the dark as none of them want the individual responsibility for the regicide.

WASHINGTON — It would start within minutes of special counsel Robert Mueller being fired — a torrent of activity ricocheting through the halls of Congress and over television airwaves, including nearly a thousand protests being prepped from the Virgin Islands to Alaska.
