2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
In lots of ways everyone stumbles and falls and makes mistakes. As we grow up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, we mature like babies going through that process to adulthood.
SO some of the things that spontaneously come out of our mouths many times was best to be left unspoken and better still, not even thought of... The tongues ia world of fire and perhaps the mostly deadly thing in the world due to the immense destruction of a person it can bring. It can ruin people permanently... It causes GREAT harm.
It must be harnessed and only thru a mature relationship with Christ is that accomplished....
IF someone thinks they don't offend others with their tongues or mouths, that person is a perfect person... They are able to control not just their tongue but also the whole body.... MATURED in the WORD and able to do so only by HIS LEADING and the SPIRIT's help as we continually draw closer to HIM and become more LIKE HIM. This is called Sanctification as we grow in Christ and become more like HIM and less like our old selves...
