10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
There is a misconception among So called Christians that the LAW (TEN COMMANDMENTS) is not something we are required to still obey today. They think that after Christ's death and resurrection that the Ten Commandments were excused and thrown out.
NO WHERE in the Holy Scriptures can you find that. THIS is NOT TRUE. WE are to obey the simple to understand LAWS that GOD wrote on a tablet of Stone with HIS OWN FINGER to US even today.
James tells us here in these two sentences how the LAW works. If we offend in ONE POINT, we are guilty of SIN and hence, all.
In other words, we can never satisfy nor live perfectly enough to obey without sinning the Law.... It is impossible for anyone except Christ who actually did.
SO if we offend in ONE point, we are guilty before GOD of all..
