27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
The apostle concludes this with this description of what real, true faith (religion) looks in action....
It requires a HEART for others. Both those in the family and those who are unsaved and outside of Christ.
We are to have compassion on the unsaved and try to reach them for Christ, tell them about their need of Salvation BY CHrist and OF Christ in order to have an eternal home in heaven when that DAY of DEATH comes to THEIR door.
And it will come..
The Bible says that "It is APPOINTED unto man once to die, and after that, The JUDGMENT.
WHEN we take our last breath in this body, our SPIRIT will immediately leave the body behind and be transported to it's destination. That is either going to meet Jesus in Heaven where HE will welcome you there and you will feel overwhelming love like you never have, or you will suddenly be in torment and heat in Hell, which was actually prepared for Satan and his following angels who rebelled against GOD and were thrown out of Heaven, reserved for eternity in the pit of Hell...
OUR Spirit will last an eternity as will the new body you will get. It will either be in Glory with Jesus or in Satan's Hell to be tortured and tormented forever for Rejecting Christ and HIS Lordship and the Salvation HE offered you freely by taking your sins upon HIMSELF and shedding HIS own BLOOD on a ROMAN CROSS for YOU. ALL he ever asked was for you to COME TO HIM in PRAYER and ASK HIS forgiveness of your sins and for HIM to be your Savior.
NO CHARGE. FREE. DONE OUT OF HIS GREAT LOVE OF YOU.
Yet you rejected HIM and chose to not want to be with him.. So you are in HELL of your own choosing.... And there you will be for ten thousand times ten thousand years...... eternity....
SO how can you tell if the Spirit of CHrist actually does reside and dwell in you? James gave you the description of things to look for in this verse.
It is time for people to do some INTROSPECTION and make SURE their HOPE of Salvation before one day it is their time to take their last breath and wind up in Satan's Hell....
