26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
JUST as the verse before, this verse is here to show us how to tell if you really ARE NOT one of GOD's OWN.
IF you claim to be saved and act like this verse describes, the SCRIPTURE, which CAME FROM GOD, is true and is very clear. YOU MAY like to think you have the SPirit of God dwelling in you, but how can that be if you act like this continually????
Sweet water and BITTER BOTH do not come forth from the same fountain.... Yet another clue from the WORD that will help us in KNOWING our spiritual status.
ONCE one in sincerity, in FAITH comes with a contrite heart in prayer to JESUS, and ASKS HIM for forgiveness and to be saved, The LORD will CHANGE YOUR HEART and your attitude and HE will write your name down in the HIS book, The LAMB's BOOK of LIFE, which is what determines whether you have been transformed into a child of the KING or are a child of the devil.. Your entrance to eternity with JESUS is secured if your name has been written down in The BOOK.
