I think it is a harder problem than asserting a collective interest over individual ones.

Politics is interesting because it is the point at which different ideals collide.

I think of parents' responsibility for their own children as precious. Messing with that using the law as a tool is something of which I am sceptical. I prefer a system that persuades parents to innoculate kids because the science is so strong it is irrational not to do so.

When parents send their children to public schools they should expect a certain level of safety in regard to health issues.

Having vaccinations for measles, polio, whooping cough, etc seems basic.
