I think this does describe Trump's character. But the guy doing his driving might have looked for another job if he didn't like the way his employer ran things for such a long time. He liked it enough to stick with it.

Driver is not a job that one would expect to see much of a salary increase, except in line with the market rate.

DRIVING MR. TRUMP
Trump’s Driver Sues Over 6 Years of Alleged Unpaid Overtime

President Donald Trump’s long-time personal driver announced Monday that he is suing his former boss for the 3,300 hours of unpaid overtime he claims he worked in the past six years, Bloomberg News reports.

Noel Cintron alleges that while he worked as Trump’s personal driver, he was required to begin each day at 7 a.m. and work until the Trumps “no longer required his services,” but that he was nevertheless often paid a fixed salary.

He also claimed that Trump only raised that salary twice in 15 years—he’s worked for Trump for 25 years—and that the second raise was undercut when Trump “induced” him to forfeit his health benefits in 2010.

Cintron is seeking approximately $200,000 in damages, Bloomberg notes, because the statute of limitations only allows him to sue for the past six years of unpaid overtime.

In the complaint, Cintron alleges that Trump acted “In an utterly callous display of unwarranted privilege and entitlement and without even a minimal sense of noblesse oblige.” “President Trump’s further callousness and cupidity is further demonstrated by the fact that while he is purportedly a billionaire, he has not given his personal driver a meaningful raise in over 12 years!” the court papers state.
