One more very important piece of information: The actual crimes in Athens, and Greece, theft, robbing homes, etc., are perpetrated by Europeans, Albanians, a longstanding sore in Greece, intermixed with some Greeks, Romanians, Bulgarians, and Asian assholes like Uzbekis. They just caught a whole gang of them, 40, who had raised it to an art form. There is no crime from Africans that I know of, they are here to improve their lot. Pakistanis, otoh, have commited crimes here, even murders.
We never had robberies and murders with Kalaschnikovs in Greece, until these fkrs from Albania, and other “whites” showed up, with the fall of communism in their countries, and the mayhem that ensued there.
A young Pakistani, raped and killed a 17 year greek girl on the beach, last year, and his lawyer’s defense/mitigating factors a couple of weeks ago was that “he only knows to treat women that way in his country, as they are meant to be mens’ property, etc.” While it may be true for them, he came to the wrong fkng place to continue the practice.
I am amazed at the job the Greek cops do, with the foreign white crime here, and the gypsies who have traditionally done it, but they don’t rob and kill, tney steal, and they are very good at it. You see gypsies around tne tourist areas, grab your wallet and phone tight. There have also been gangs of the eastern europeans who have raised that part to an art form, and there's recently been news coverage about it.
To tell tne whole truth, there are a multitude of eastern europeans who live and work here, and they are good people. In fact tne woman who takes care of my place here, is Bulgarian, has the keys, and I trust her 1000%. She actually came and opened tne place up, cleaned it, and turned on the refrigerator, put some juice, water, and a pack of beers there for us to enjoy once we first got in.
No money can buy that, anywhere. She does it because she had become great friends with my mother, and we know each other for more than 20 years. We’re all going out tonight to eat.

Smart, but controversial.
I see how Greeks are doing these days, no ghettos, there are a bunch of Pakistanis and Africans, young men and women, living in certain areas of Athens, some have small shops, deli markets, shoe repair, etc., but no ghetto like stuff. The Athenians have taken back the squares, and the crisis of the last 8 years did the rest. Any other places and cities in Greece have no such populations.
Greece is heavily on the upswing now. A bustling place, and Athens a beautiful, vibrant city, where you can go out at 11pm, and have ...dinner, like always, the vampires of the world.
Was coming back to Athens yesterday on a boat from Kythnos, and could not believe the number of small boats and sail boats, some were racing boats, all around, and boats are costly to own and maintain.
As I always said: Ancient societies, like the Greeks can never fail and fall. They will still stand when the world collapses. As I travelled south to the lush, beautiful Peloponnese, I realized that those living there are so self sufficient, they could close off all access, and never look back. That is true of all of Greece. Eating a Greek tomato, from the vine, redefines the look and taste of it forever: soft, red like blood, juicy, sweet, flavorfull, needs no salt at all.. So goes for every food category, that grows here, and that means everything. Exception is for some Texas steak and beef ribs, bison, and a few other foods of the west that are exceptional. In Greece, you can get a small glass of lemon juice from a single lemon, soft to the squeeze with a thin skin.
Anyway....it does seem unnatural here to see Africans and Asians, but so long as they work and be part of tne mix, it is fine with me. After all Antetokoumbo, the young NBA star, is from Nigerian patents, was born in Athens, and every chance he gets is back here hanging out with all the Greeks he grew up with. He seems to never want to go anywhere else. That is good!
