Thank you Beldin.
I personally see no point in 'going over there' when
I can not argue back 'with them'.

But I appreciate the existence of this forum as a
place where debate could take place. Where reality
is presented with factual evidence.

We care about those kids. We do not want their parents to endanger their lives by personally dragging them 1,800 miles or allowing a criminal smuggler to drag them (and abuse them along the way) just for the opportunity to violate our borders and our laws. We donate billions each year to charitable causes outside of our borders. But, we are NOT the world's nanny. It is NOT our government's responsibility to take care of any foreigner who illegally (or legally, for that matter) crosses our borders and asks (or, more likely, demands) to be suckled at the fiscal tit of the United States Treasury.

However, YOU, in fact, are the one who is cruel to the very children you disingenuously proclaim to care about. You encourage these parents to endanger the lives of their kids - all because of your highly cynical brand of leftist politics. YOU don't give a damn about these kids - you simply want to use them as tools to gain political power for your anti-American ideology. You, clo, are a hateful, misanthropic scourge on humanity, dearie. You need to quit encouraging the mistreatment of these children by their very parents and quit lying about the overwhelming generosity of the United States.

Oh, and one other thing ... you have no understanding of what the Statute of Liberty represents. When the French gave the statue to the United States ... because they were rightly enamored with our Declaration of Independence ... it was dedicated as a symbol of carrying the torch of liberty FROM the United States TO the rest of the world. The torch is NOT a light TO the United States - the statue is carrying the light to spread liberty TO the rest of the world - so they can be inspired to have liberty IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. Emma Lazarus' poem was written as a donation to an auction of art and literary works to raise funds for the construction of the pedestal. Seventeen years later, her poem was put on a bronze plaque on the inner wall of the pedestal. So, clo ... quit being such an intentionally ignorant buffoon ... it is the Statue of Liberty, NOT the Statue of Immigration, you adolescent twit.
