Boy, is it a real bee hive. The economic engine has restarted and humming. Busy, busy, busy. Real estate going up, no place to park, restaurants up the kazoo, packed, open way past midnight, no self respecting greek goes for dinner before 9pm, etc.

The weather? I thought the sun in Florida being closer to the equator was bright, on a good day, but here it doesn’t give an inch to extreme brightness. It comes up in the morning, stays on all day, and repeat. No “bad” days here.

They are expecting 32million tourists this year. A couple of yesrs ago they had around 20 million. Prime destination. Seat at the waterfront, and you forget subtropical Florida in a internet second.

The only problem is the negotiation with Skopje to allow them to call themselves, being Bulgarians, something like North Macedonia, a population that has no Greek heritage, nor language.

My take, as many Greeks, is to go into that little fkng poor, shitty place, take it over, and tell them we’ll go only until you admit you want to steal our heritage, and then make any name for yourselves other than one containing the word Macedonia, because we know Alexander the Great, he was our brother, and you fkers are no kin to him nor any of us. FU.

Other than that, onward to some islands, especially to amazingly beautiful Symi, close to the Turkish coast, threatened by those fkrs,

We talk about organized militia, but the real ones are here, in every threatened border, Albania, the islands, etc., there are greeks whose homes contain war arsenals, ready to go at a moment’s notice. No chickenhawks here. No one will threaten this place and live to tell about it.
