Yup, very narrow ruling.
Yet it got 7 of the justices to sign on to this very important paragraph.
More cases on the docket to push this to a broader finding.

Oh boy fighting over cakes, those were the days. ;)

I thought the Supreme Court might side with the religious cakemaker rather than the couple purchasing it.

But I don't find the bits of the opinion I have read especially robust. It sounds like the justices were concerned about animus towards religion by the state board. So not so much a statement of principle as the application of the law in this case.

Fighting over cakes is so Obama years. Boy was the world fighting over trivial things compared with today.
