It seems to me the post office is a relic of the past and is largely unnecessary. It seems it should be privatized.

Everything black and white for you non thinkers lewis.

Relic? Tell that to the folks who don't have on access to an on line connection in this country. Tell that to the great people in our northwest states who depend upon the postal service because of the distance they live from a major city. The postal service was put in place and binds the country together providing a universal price enjoyed by all our citizens across the country. it was not set up to have a profit margin..horrors. Privatize. No private company wants to handle it. UPS dosen't serve every delivery point in the United States. UPS dosen't want it as shown by the last mile agreement in place with the postal service. UPS wants multiple packages to a single delivery. Privatize? Fed Ex largest revenue is generated from flying the USPS parcels and mail around the country. The largest employer of veterans and one of the largest employers of those that are disabled. Free postage of materials to those that are deaf and blind. Wonder how those anti government politicos and groups would feel if they had to start paying full postage for their mailers...and hint its a lot more conservative and right leaning politicos and religious leaders. Eliminate the 5 Billion dollar payment to fund retirees health benefits 75 years in the future for employees that were not hired when this was put into effect in 2006. To make matters worse the number of employees has even dropped since that was put into place so it's not even close to accurate--even though nearly a million delivery points are added per year.

Like POTUS I am opposed to endless wars. He is striving to usher in an unprecedented era of worldwide peace and prosperity. He inherited a mess that will take time and military strength to resolve. He is making incredible progress in a very short time. Over the long term the portion of our federal budget devoted to military spending may be reduced.

Endless wars have created a huge number of veterans who have been promised benefits. Those promises must be kept. Reforming the VA to reflect market forces is critical to keeping those promises and reducing costs.

The securing of our borders must be achieved. If that objective is achieved coupled with rhe era of peace may result in lower homeland security expenditures.

It seems to me the post office is a relic of the past and is largely unnecessary. It seems it should be privatized.

Many other functions performed by the federal government ought to take at the state or local level, or find ways to incorporate market forces into the administration of those functions.

When Trump is done I anticipate he will be the most consequential president in our lifetime and have accomplished a lot of good for America and the world.

The next few months should be very interesting.
