A series of strange emails to the wife of a former Obama official was one clue on a trail leading to Black Cube, and suggested the firm had been hired by someone targeting prominent supporters of President Obama's Iran nuclear deal.
An NBC News investigation into Black Cube reveals a business intelligence company with governmental contracts and a special department for politically motivated work. The firm, which also targeted accusers of Harvey Weinstein, is often hired to dig up evidence of nefarious behavior.
