A buddy of mine was in the First Cav in Vietnam. He said they had a South Korean armored unit embedded with them and these South Koreans liked to take trophies ... chopped off NVA & Viet Cong heads that they then spiked onto the fronts of their tanks.

I didn't get any trophies for all my shooting in the corps.. Lots of dead nva bodies. I thought I was a pretty good shot... Not sniper quality by any stretch...
