That's very true. There have been folks dropping as their terms cane to an end and were not replaced. I believe it's 9 or 11 from what I recall. However there are many stakeholders in the success of the postal service. Small communities rent p.o. box service. You have many properties throughout the country that are on a lease to The Postal Service. You have a trucking industry and a fuel industry that is dependent. You have small business that now has access to Target the neighborhoods and the routes surrounding their business which saves them money because they don't have to blanket in the area anymore where they would never get any customers. They can pay for their own Printing and drop it off at their local post office for deliveries to the routes that surround their business. There's printing companies that would be affected. Advertising companies designing companies. I read something a few years ago when the financial trouble of the Postal Service started and it was estimated that there was approximately 8 to 12 jobs that were directly affected by the Postal Service because of how much interaction with the private sector that people don't even think about. The private sector flies the mail since the postal service has no Fleet of planes. FedEx flies most of the mail across the country. I know people want a bitch about the postal service but here's another situation. I believe there are the largest employer in the country of disabled folks and veterans. And here's another thing to think about I know people want a bitch about the wages. But if this was contracted out to the lowest dollar you have people that might be very unsavory that will have no wage incentive that might preclude them from participating in the stealing of your mail or even worse breaking into your home while you're away on vacation because they know when your mail is being held while you're on vacation.

I learned there's a board for the USPO, and 7 seats are opening up.

Guess who gets to appoint, Trump...
so he can place people to change the Postmaster General.
There's no nook or cranny he won't stick his small hands in to stir the pot & try to get the upper hand!
