Court Denies Trumpâ€™s Motion to Halt Zervosâ€™ Defamation Suit

A New York appellate court has denied President Donald Trumpâ€™s motion to â€œpause discoveryâ€ in the defamation case former Apprentice star Summer Zervos brought against him, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Zervos has filed subpoenas for Apprentice archives and records from the Beverly Hills hotel in order to corroborate her claims that Trump sexually harassed her. She also subpoenaed Trump, who has been given until â€œMay 29 to respond to a demand that he be deposed.â€ According to the ruling, Trump and the other parties cannot delay the process of fulfilling the subpoenas.

In March, the New York Supreme Court allowed the defamation suit to proceed after Trumpâ€™s legal team attempted to argue that the case was unconstitutional under the Supremacy Clause.
