While that principle has merit, what was the other choice.
I don't like Ron Paul and never have. I would not walk across the street to speak to him.

I did not vote for McCain.
I voted for what I perceived to be the lesser of two evils that had an actual shot at winning. Ron Paul had ZERO chance and all he did was siphon off votes from Palin/McCain ticket. I figured the HOUSE would keep McCain in line...

ALSO, agreed he got lots of credit he did not deserve and indeed he has proven himself to be traitorous. Hopefully we are done dealing with him...

Getting the Republican nod in 2008 gave McCain an air of panache and street cred he didn't deserve. Consequently, he went on to harm the party and the country for the next ten years.

The lesson to learn? NEVER vote for a candidate you don't like. The rationale that 'he's the only Republican who can win' is a crock of sh*t. As we all saw, McCain COULDN'T win (which was plenty clear ahead of time), but many voted for him on that basis just the same. They know who they are. They should be ashamed.
