And this is why the left risks losing new elections.
It isn't non-racist simply to invert the model you complain about. If some on the right seem to have a stereotype hierarchy in which black people are treated as at the bottom, it isn't a smart idea for some on the left to complain about that while promoting the notion of an alternative immoral white architecture at the top. All you do is create a victim culture on the other side.
There are two sorts of people in the race debate. Those who alienate people that look different and claim victim status for themselves. And those who seek to draw people together and consider the labelling of groups as categories of victim as part of the problem.
Some say Rome failed partly because it diluted pride in citizenship and trust in Rome. I agree. I would say you can't possibly maintain a civilisation if you fail to encourage pride, friendship and trust amongst people seeking to live together, whatever their race.
