He resigned immediately. He portrayed himself as a champion for women. I don’t know if he committed any crimes. He is free to claim he is innocent of reprehensible behavior. Everyone can come to their own conclusions, but in my mind he just might be a bit of a sanctimonious hypocrite. Your description of him is acceptable.

Sounds like it is good riddance anyway as I expect he will soon be forgotten by everyone.

Well, he may present a bit of a sticky campaign issue for Senator Gillibrand.

I was thinking you would be standing on the podium saying innocent until proven guilty and all of that stuff. Applying principles evenly regardless of party.

For myself, I don't yet know enough to condemn the guy, any more than I condemned Roy Moore for actions which fell within the boundaries of state law. He was creepy but to me (at least what I remember) not obviously a lawbreaker.

Not sure where Schneiderman is yet. May just be a bit of an arsehole in certain situations.

To me, at a minimum it's always worth waiting for the person being targetted to have a chance to defend themselves before taking a position.

But I agree he was in no position to continue in his job at the moment.
