In 1988, when Trump bought New York’s famed Plaza Hotel, he paid $407.5 million. He got a $425 million loan.

“If the world goes to hell in a handbasket, I won’t lose a dollar,” Trump bragged to a reporter in 1988. He said he had offloaded the risk by investing and borrowing against other people’s money.

he's done the same with his tax bill....

A new article identifies the net liquidity sloshing through the Trump companies and into golf course and hotel development. The cash has no obvious source, except that Trump's kids appear to have once indicated it comes from Russia.

So this is the laundry. A complex array of financial transactions through which dirty money is moved from Russia into luxury resorts scattered around the world. It looks like he may be part of Putin's corrupt savings scheme.
