Hi csl,
I haven't followed Blago. But there are reasons to keep a guilty party in jail that go beyond whether they are a risk to others. I tend to think it is useful to make an example of corrupt politicians so folks know how much the rule of law matters to society.
I had no use at all for Rod Blagojevich when he was the Govenor of Illinois. I hope the President commutes his sentence. He is not a threat to anyone and it serves no purpose for him to serve another seven years in prison while costing taxpayers for his continued incarceration.
