This is what Mueller is surely investigating. What did the Russians do and did anyone help them do it?
It looks to many people, including you and me, that Trump's obstructive behaviour remains consistent with him being a bad actor. For myself, I am utterly convinced he was part of the flow of dirty Russian assets into the US. And this on its own would give Putin a power over him.
But he may yet turn out to be a useful idiot rather than a villain re Putin and the election.
Whichever it is, in terms of its president, the US is now in the category of Poland and Hungary in the way the rule of law and democracy are under a sustained attack.
I hope the US emerges smarter and less naive. At the moment, the number of people who have been turned is scary. Whoever follows will need to write new protections into the constitution.
