I guess that advertising-sponsored media has a habit of getting too big for its britches.

Fox News sells propaganda opinions to folks incurious about facts and thereby defines an entire political party. An honest conversation and a compromise can be had about guns if the extremist fanatics and disinformation warriors are removed from the conversation.

Meanwhile, facebook's advertising model made war on privacy.

Folks advertise to make money, not to do you a favour.

Generally don't like restriction of free speech in this way. But when free speech is a vehicle for propaganda, then I guess you have to do things differently.

People are finding a way to wrestle power back from the Fox/Republican propaganda machine.

Their advertising business model is their vulnerability.

Next thing, they'll be starting up a right wing HBO.

Wouldn't it be great if Fox was an honest right-of-centre television news channel!
