Re: “ PLease keep in touch when possible. You will be sorely missed.”
Thank you for the kind words. I'll miss you guys, too. I'll check in periodically. Visits to the large library in a neighboring town have always been among our favorite ways to get away from it all - and the library has free wireless.
Re: “Does your cell service have unlimited data (internet)with it. IF so, and IF you can get a connection signal in N.H.”
I don't carry a smart phone. The Blackberry I referenced earlier was work-assigned. It's been returned, and I have no intention of getting anything else that is more than a phone.
Property #1 has a house but very little cell reception. We usually have to walk 100 feet to the street to get a signal. My wife, however, thinks that Broadband internet is now available to our address. I don't quite believe it, but we'll see. Even if it's true, though, I bet it will be many months before they can hook us up. Things don't ever happen quickly up there.
Property #2 has excellent cell reception - probably as a result of the tiny nearby town. The prospects for getting cable there are really poor, but maybe DSL will work.
Home internet is more important to my wife than it is to me. I actually want to get back to basics and stop spending so much time on-line. It's a fake life. The real thing is short enough as it is and infinitely better.
That said, the internet is a FANTASTIC research tool, and if I can get it I will. But from property #2 I don't think it will happen for many years. I don't even have a barn there yet, much less a house! Your smartphone solution could be the best one, and my wife does have one...
Thanks again.
