Well
good morning all! I am recuperating and still have plenty of anesthesia to get rid of yet plus lots of pain pills.

Good to be up though. I asked my wife to please let you know I was back home yesterday. I hope that was okay.

Findings were that the cyst that was growing and pushing against the nerve root was TWICE the size the MRI was showing. Surgeon was shocked. He also said there was internal bleeding that did not show up. The pressure was that tight.

He cleaned out anything and everything he saw that did not belong and removed some scar tissue from the surgery on my right side from five years ago as he used the same slit from that one from this to avoid giving me another scar. That was cool.

I have pretty significant swelling on my entire left lower side around the tailbone area extending to outside of left cheek. The sciatic nerve is still unhappy but just sore. It will go away as will the rest of the soreness from the internal surgical repairs. I am supposed to not do anything for several days.
Then I can start to try walking slowly. Every day. And obviously extending that each day.

I am grateful for the Percocet and it is needed as is 899 mg doses of ADVIL every 6 hours That is for the inflammation. The percocet keeps my mind off the surgical cutting trauma on the inside.

BUT the nightmare is slowly coming to an end. I wonder what it is like to drive a car and not have terrible sciatic pain screaming down your left buttcheek clear down to the ankle.... I am anxious to find out....

Glad it is over. The prep team was great for the surgery. I asked the anesthesiologist if there something he could so I did not have to have that gas mask placed over top of my mouth and face as I am a little claustrophobic. And at that time was a little nervous as well.

He immediately told my nurse to give me one injection into my IV line of something to calm me down. It worked within five minutes. Right before we left for the O.R. he ordered a second round of the magic juice into the I.V. line. I do not remember the trip to the Operating room , or anything except waking up about an hour and a half after the surgery was done. I was dreaming...

I found out quickly when conscious I was in surgical pain. Ribs likely found that out to. He is just a little crustier than me..... LOL!!!!!

BUT it was a great way they handled everything and I am back home resting and trying to get back in the saddle again...

BTW,

SO GOOD TO SEE PROFESSOR here !!!!! WELCOME back MT !!!!!

Hope you are doing well.. I missed you while you were gone...

Time to go back and lay down guys. Will be back later...

micro......

Thumbs Up Very Happy
