THAT has already happened at my son in law's school and happening as we speak at my daughter's. Proper training on the use of safety and firearms, plenty of hands on training with the cops, and nobody else knows who is a deterrent and who is not..... THAT will be decisive in some potential attacker's thinking they will get away with rampant killing because they do not know who is going to take them out but will know that somebody will, if not multiple somebodies..

Simply 'arming teachers' IS dangerous.

They need to spend about a week with the police at the
police firing range learning all about the weapon, and
how to safely and effectively use it as well as how
to safely carry it.

The teachers who will be allowed to carry weapons to
school also need to be vetted - a psychiatric screening
to ensure they are mentally stable.

Armed guards in all the schools? How you gonna keep
the 'wanna be Rambo's' and half crazies with nothing
better to do out? Not to mention the expense.

But an armed subset of teachers who know the school
and have been properly trained . . . Guy who wants
to shoot up that school is likely to end up in the
morgue. With good riddance.
