ZZ

why is it when someone quotes directly the very language, which was written in common everyday simple English so every American could read and understand it, that you are so ready to dismiss it???

The words OUR RIGHT shall not be infringed means exactly what it says.

Nothing more. Nothing less. It is not at all open to debate. NO politician or anyone else is allowed to infringe upon my right to be able to BEAR arms.

THAT my friend is what you would call an IRONCLAD GUARANTEE. It was secured with the blood and lives of all those citizens who bled and died fighting the British Army and Navy with nothing more than those weapons they each had from home..

THANK GOD they were fearless and cared more about the very freedom they were fighting for than their own lives.

YOU make too much light of rights that are secured to us by our own blood. It shows when you answer.

When you serve in the military, you will discover and learn that there are greater causes than your own life. You learn to be selfless and you learn to cherish things that are hard won by giving everything you have..

THAT is how these RIGHTS came into existence sir.

SOME of us have fought for your right to keep the 1st amendment and would have paid with our own life to insure that life.

Something you civilians do not think about much because you have never had that kind of dedication. Nor would you sacrifice your own life for the rights of someone else..

WHenever you see the word S-H-A_L-L written. it means it will happen. There is not any maybe or possibly in there.

That is part of the English language. IT means exactly what it says.

ZIM is 100 percent correct.

Try not to be so defensive ZZ. He isn;t putting you down. You asked for something and he provided it. All you had to do was read it and go, "I guess that is guaranteed by the amendment".. Yes sir. It is indeed.

You left the rest of it.

Written language and speech have CONTEXT.

You have ...nothing.
