Crazy weather all about.. We had a stint of cold a little snow on the nearby mountains, hills, but now just cold nights, 70 degree days.
My 86yo brother & 80yo wife decided they had to go check on the cabin, near Sonora, a couple feet of snow, but roads were open, their AWD Subaru couldn't make it into their driveway, so they tried hiking in, falling, stumbling, a neighbor came, helped them get up again. So they did manage to antifreeze the traps, drain the lines OK, but then went off, left the garage open.. Bro isn't supposed to drive, Dr took his license, but did, played bumper cars with a Chevy Tahoe, had to pay up or get busted.. He has multiple myeloma, so was also dealing with it's symptoms.. Made for a rough day.. The kids should have taken them or just let it go.. Likely time for them to sell it, be done with it.. As once before there is no cell service or anything out there, one day they'll end up in a ravine somewhere.. Darn kids... (3 kids, none have the interest or means to take care of the cabin)
