Come on now.... Really? A SECRET CLEARANCE is the same for the kitchen workers???
IF that were true, then an awful lot of former Obama aids are no better than kitchen help either, or CLinton, or Bush..
Not EVERYBODY actually needs to have a top secret clearance. There are differing roles in government that are necessary, but do not require SECRET Clearance level, or TOP SECRET clearance either.
That is no slam on the individual or reflection of the President, no matter who the President is.
This is actually a good thing because now the Justice Department can actually properly VET the people who NEED a top secret clearance before granting that to them.
That's a good thing....
THESE THINGS TAKE TIME if done right and investigations are thoroughly done.
It does not matter what your last name is.
What matters is whether you ultimately are cleared by thorough screening of your past or not. If not, then the DOJ has done their job and kept someone from seeing top secret info who should not be seeing that information.
SO, let's wait and see whether after the screening process Kushner is cleared or not. It really does not matter to me if he isn;t and he doesn't have access to top secret intel.. Lots of people do not have that clearance.... BUT it is too early in the process to know.
