I am a capitalist as are the vast majority of all conservatives. Especially business people.

But there is a difference in terminology between being GLOBAL in business, and being a globalist or globalism.

I know all about bring global in business. Had an office in Taiwan, TaiPei to be exact.

However, I manufactured my products here in the U.S. in Ohio. I know a LOT of large corporations and did business with them, several were fortune 500 and a few fortune 200.

So Yes sir, I agree, Reagan was a capitalist, which the Democrats howled and howled about and really, nothing has changed.

No, protectionist policies are Nationalism.

SOcialism is where the democrats want to tax everybody and redistribute the wealth and give everyone everything from cradle to grave with no means to pay for any of it.

Take student loans as a small example. IF ya cannot afford to pay back money ya borrow, then don;t borrow it. Go to a local state college or community college. After you get employed, if you want to further the education, then consider using ONLINE courses and pay for them as you go....

As I said, my kids went to college and both today have doctoral degrees and beyond. They owed NOTHING when they graduated.

It can be done but it requires WORK..Something most dipshits today are not willing to do, much less PAY BACK student loans they took out unnecessarily because they did not want to work and go to school at same time...

Innovation occurs for several reasons and factors, none of which are associated with TRADE tariffs.

Billy CLinton and Obuckwheat both pretty much killed American manufacturing with their policies and programs that were TOXIC to corporations. HIGH corporate taxes, highest in world, don't help when competing and neither does allowing the competitors overseas sell into our country while being subsidized by their governments.

Just a couple easy examples.

Ya know, if ya keep on talking, I believe you actually could acquire some conservative basic principles, which are really just basic common sense 101, same as business practices and principles.......

Thanks for the feedback!

On Samsung, have you ever owned a Galaxy Smart phone, or a Monitor, or OLED curved t.v ?

Samsung Ranges are bad. But lot of other things they make are great and top tier. Just look at the reviews by Consumer Reports.

That said, everyone can't be great at everything and some are not good at anything.

AUdi is owned by VW. The President of Hyundai Corporation was a former head of engineering for Audi whom Hyundai hired away from them several years ago, which is when their cars and Kia started to really get better and better. Now they are always among the top three sedans in the ratings....

Dependable also.. German engineering is normally good. Just repairing anything with one when something goes bad is a small fortune and a lot of time.

THanks for chatting ! Good evening!

It’s capitalism. Reagan told people, pretty much, “compete, or lose”.

And in this time and age that means move business where it’s cheaper, and conditions allow you to compete more effectively.

Protectionist deals are socialism. They make people complacent, kill innovation.

Samsung, btw, makes shitty refrigerators and washing machines, to say the least. They just reimbursed me last year for a new refrigerator they kept comng to fix for a year, 6 times, and couldn’t. They changed everything, and it still sucked. I got two new LGs, and not a problem.

I like German cars, Got an Audi Q5, a GTI, and. a convertible. I used to own an Alfa Romeo. Waiting to see how the new ones are doing here before I jump on a Julia. I like their smell, their sound, their quality, and their performance.
