Possibly. But I'm not in love with the process. It sounds more like extortion than justice. The way they threatened Flynn's son to get him to talk was nasty and made me more sceptical of any evidence produced that way. You might lie to protect your child. People do.
Manafort will argue he was a naive pawn in others' chess game. It's possible. For a person to have criminal responsibility, they need to have a wicked intent.
I kinda admire his stubbornness. It is the position an innocent man would take. But it's the same one a real determined badass would take as well.
I don't know many of the details of his case yet. I am very suspicious but plan to hold onto the presumption of innocence as long as possible. But the process as a whole stinks.
Sounds like the chain goes from Putin, through the oligarchs, Ukraine and Manafort, into Trump's and other properties worldwide and offshore accounts.
For sure it looks like that is the path Mueller is pursuing. Corruption not collusion. The collusion flows from the corruption.
