ZZ,
Have you any idea why the Second Amendment was written
into the Constitution?

I really don't think so.

The Founding Fathers knew full well that if the population
were disarmed, 'We The People' would be ripe for a 'hostile
takeover'. With a well armed populace 'We The People'
could quickly form into militias and drive out any
invading hostile forces.

They were also smart enough to realize that hostile
foreign entities were not the only threat to our
existence. There are also those who would subjugate
our government entities and enslave the American Peoples
to a tyranny of government.

So, riddle me this.
If the Chinese Army were to invade North America, should
'We The People' be armed with muskets and flintlocks?
Or should we be armed with semi-automatic weapons.

Or this.
Trayvon Martin was a seventeen year old six foot tall
thug who was trying to murder George Zimmerman. By
cracking his skull open on a concrete sidewalk. Should
murderous thugs like Trayvon have a 'right' to kill
people . . . Or should 'We The People' have a right
to defend ourselves?

The Second Amendment is not an 'historical relic'.

Zim.
