Terror Attacks ‘Tripled’ After Trump’s Jerusalem Recognition
Terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank tripled after President Trump moved to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the Shin Bet security service said in a new report.
The new numbers show there were 71 security incidents in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Israel in October, 84 in November, and 249 in December—a significant jump. (Trump made the announcement on Dec. 6.) The chief of the Shin Bet security service, Nadav Argaman, said in December that Trump’s declaration had already made the situation in the West Bank more precarious. He foresaw that it would create a “a highly unstable period for the next six months at least.”
