Why should CEOs use their tax cuts to pay their employees more? Will doing so make the employees more productive? No, I think not. I bet you, OCU, don't pay more than you have to for the contracts that you negotiate and the commodities you buy.

Most employees are paid what they're worth. Those who are underpaid quickly figure that out and seek a better job.

And if they have no luck with that, then they have evidence that they aren't worth as much as they thought. Such people should develop better skills or consider moving to a place that values the skillset they possess.

This isn't rocket science, people. It's a contract. The employer knows what a job is worth. The prospective employee knows what his time is worth. If the two prices intersect, the job is a good fit and employment is likely to yield good results. Otherwise, one party or the other will be dissatisfied and the job is going to be short term.
