On the flip side, I wouldn't be offended in the slightest if someone made a joke about someone of my race from 400 years ago. Why should I? I am not made of gossamer.
Some people seem easily offended. I think it's healthier for a society when they can withstand a joke. Lest Kim Jong Un fires a batch in our direction and we wither with the lack of immunity.
