Again, the issue isn't whether folks feel victimised, because there are other issues in play.

I think he's wrong, and this argument can be made on the merits. But that's the judgement which he needs to make. He must defend the nation as one of his main duties. If he is right that transgender rights are inconsistent with military objectives, well, I guess some feelings will end up getting hurt, and ought to.
This is where we are going wrong. Rights seem to matter more than responsibilities. But certainly the former shouldn't be isolated from the latter and given a trump power.
I think Trump is a dimwit, and he is probably wrong, but the legal arguments are going totally haywire.
America needs to relearn the idea of hard choices.
