"Scientifically named Richardia grandiflora, the small flowers have been spotted in at least 26 Florida counties in the southern half of the state, according to Florida Today. Horticulturalists suspect that heavy rains and other factors related to climate change triggered the plant’s surge in growth, particularly around the Space Coast."
